When the Masquerade Ball ends on Saturday night, the Cajun fun begins with a family-friendly all-day food festival, concert and celebration!

The Krewe of Charleston is proud to present the first Fais Do Do on the Atlantic Coast.
Catch beads and boas. Marvel at a grand Mardi Gras float. Eat fried alligator, boiled crawfish, Shrimp Po’ Boys, crawfish etouffee — and experience a true Louisiana pig roast. And, of course, meet the new King & Queen of Charleston. Dance to the music of world renowned Rockin’ Dopsie and the Zydeco Twisters! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Come and participate in the gumbo cookoff, win prizes and be crowned the King or Queen of the Festival!!!!

Schedule of Events

10 AM – NOON
Boucherie: A true Cajun hog roast on site — we’ll make boudin, sausage, and more!

11 AM – NOON
Alligator: We skin the alligator, fry up the tale and make the most delicious Alligator Sauce Picante you’ve ever tasted!

NOON – 1 PM
Crawfish Etoufee Demo: Learn how to make the best Crawfish Etoufee this side of New Orleans.

1 PM – 2 PM
Crawfish Boil: As fresh as they come, just like we like ‘em! PLUS, a crawfish race for the kids — pick a crawfish and watch it try to beat the others out of the ring. Winner is crowed Crawfish King or Queen!

NOON – 4 PM
Gumbo Cook Off: The winner will be crowned on stage!

2 PM – 3 PM
Authentic Louisiana Chef Demonstration: Learn from the best — Louisiana Chefs prepare authentic Cajun dishes!

3 PM – 4 PM
CHARLESTON MARDI GRAS CHILDREN’S PARADE: Parade enters building! Catch beads and boas! Throw me something, Mister!
Mardi Gras Costume Contest: Costumes will be judged by local celebrities, and the winners get a ride on the Mardi Gras float!
Awards Ceremony: Winners of all contests announced!

4 PM – 8:30 PM
Fais Do Do: Dance the night away with Rockin’ Dopsie and the Zydeco Twisters!
